The difference between mastery and struggle isn’t whether you wobble — it’s how fast you retune.

This is what I call Velocity of Return: the speed at which you notice misalignment and recalibrate.

  • A slow return looks like one bad day sliding into a bad week, spiraling into “nothing ever works out for me.”

  • A fast return looks like catching yourself mid-sentence, laughing at the wobble, and resetting before it derails momentum.

In physics, recovery time is everything. A system that resets quickly stabilizes. A system that lags stays noisy. Your nervous system works the same way.

When you shorten your return velocity, you don’t just recover faster — you keep the signal steady enough for reality to lock in.
